Lightning Rod Tests

The Regulation on Grounding in Electrical Installations issued by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in 2001 regulates the principles for the establishment, operation and control of earthing facilities in alternative current and direct current electrical installations with frequency below 100 Hz. As the characteristics are different, grounding criteria in high voltage and low voltage plants are given in separate sections in the regulation. Grounding rules for communication systems and data processing facilities are located in a separate section.

In the annex of the Regulation, there are inspection, control, measurement and inspection periods within the operational period of different grounding facilities (Annex P).

In addition, inspections, measurements and inspections of the grounding facilities within the scope of the legal regulation for workplaces with flammable, explosive, dangerous and harmful substances, and the grounding facilities in the workplaces in wet environments must be performed at least once a year.

In the meantime, TS EN 62305-2 Lightning protection - Part 2: In accordance with the risk management standard (former TS 622 standard), inspections should be repeated at fixed intervals not exceeding 12 within the scope of the lightning protection rules. According to the standard, the period should be kept short for 12 intellectuals in order not to perform the examinations in the same season every year.

According to the General Technical Specifications, published by the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement, Section 7: General Technical Specifications for Construction Electrical Works, lightning protection installations should be maintained periodically at least once a year.

The current legal regulations and the relevant standards published by many domestic and foreign organizations are taken into consideration during the electrical test studies. In line with the needs of the enterprises, our company conducts lightning rod tests within the framework of electrical tests.

In the meantime, our organization, in accordance with the TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Conditions for the Competence of Experiment and Calibration Laboratories standard, UAF From the Accreditation Agency has been accredited and serves within this framework.
