The use of these methods has become a necessity in terms of protecting human health and being more sensitive to environmental conditions.

The most commonly used method for molecular biology analysis is the DNA-based polymerase chain reaction method (PCR). This method is applied in the microbiological analysis of foodstuffs and is a method of high precision. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method has been introduced for the first time in 1985 and has been a breakthrough in research. With this analysis method, The amount of genetic changes in foodstuffs is determined. The basis of this method is the propagation of nucleic acids under appropriate conditions. In the PCR technique, it is possible to work with very little DNA. This technique provides great speed and precision in laboratory studies.

Genotypic methods are more preferred today in the identification of microorganisms. Changing the genetic characteristics of plants is the process by which the DNA of the plant is altered by, for example, transferring a specific gene from a microorganism. In this way, the desired properties are provided to the plant. For example, in soybean production, gene transfer is carried out to make it easier to combat weeds without affecting the normal development of this plant. Normally, these gene transfers to plants are carried out only by transporting a specific gene chain, not by transferring the desired property. Molecular biology analyzes reveal whether the plant has undergone genetic changes.
