REACH Tests and Certification

REACH Tests and Certification

REACH is a European Union regulation (1907 / 2006 / EC) that restricts the levels of certain chemicals in all imported goods. With our online platform, you can easily reserve your Laboratory Tests and adapt your production to REACH.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is the most comprehensive and comprehensive environmental legislation to be issued by the European Union.

Third-party laboratory testing allows you to verify compliance with the following REACH requirements:

Annex XVII Restricted Substances

  • 3 phthalate for toys and 6 phthalate for toys since the toy can be inserted into the mouth for children
  • AZO colorants in textile
  • Release of nickel from metal products in direct contact with skin
  • PCTs
  • Benzene
  • Asbestos fibers
  • Arsenic compounds
  • Mercury compounds
  • Cadmium
  • View full list
  • 49 SVHCs Candidate List (Very High Risk Substances)

There is a general 49 w / w limit (0,1% of total product weight) for each of the 0.1 SVHCs that apply to all product types. Items of Very High Issue

  • Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (CMR)
  • Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and Very Bioaccumulative (vPvB)
  • In each case, scientific evidence has been identified as causing potential serious effects on human health or an equivalent anxiety environment (eg endocrine disruptor) such as those mentioned above.

REACH testing services that support REACH registration through chemical analysis and physico-chemical testing programs are achieved through the management of (eco) toxicological studies.

REACH test programs will be a critical part of your REACH registration activities. REACH requires manufacturers and importers to collect information about the properties of chemicals. This information will ensure the safe handling and recording of chemical processes in a central database managed by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

The chemical property data generated to meet REACH testing requirements is a mandatory part of the REACH Registration process for both co-registrants. This data must be submitted in the form of a technical file.

As a principal registrant, your file includes not only company-specific substance identification information, but also the information required by all registrants, such as the classification and labeling of chemicals and defined physical-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological data. Annexes to REACH. REACH test programs, data collection and processes can be costly and complex and require expert assessment of identified data and gaps.

REACH Protects human health and the environment

Industries have increasingly recognized that REACH is far more than the sum of its individual requirements, and that compliance requires strategic planning. As one of the largest independent testing and certification services providers in the world, TÜV SÜD offers a tailor-made solution for REACH compliance. We help you meet implementation timelines and different obligations for different products and actors in the supply chain.

What is Reach

The European Commission's Regulation 1907 / 2006 - REACH - is the European Union's chemical regulation which entered into force in June 2007. It aims to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment and to promote the free movement of chemicals in the EU. Market and increase competitiveness and innovation.

REACH is comprehensive within its scope. It covers almost all non-food, non-feed or pharmaceutical products. REACH covers consumer products such as clothing and footwear, jewelery, electrical and electronic products, toys, furniture, health and beauty products. This also applies to products currently regulated by product-specific regulations such as the Toy Directive (2009 / 48 / EC), the Cosmetic Directive (EC No. 1223 / 2009) and the RoHS Directive (2011 / 65 / EU). Restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Although REACH is a European legislation, companies outside the EU may need to comply with their requirements due to the global nature of their supply chains.
