Belt Tests

Belt Tests

Bearing belts are also textile products. Tensile testing of these belts is an important test between quality tests and determines whether the products meet the industrial durability standards. The conveyor belts are designed to withstand high tensile forces. Therefore, it is subjected to many tough strength tests. The multiple fiber structures and strength of the conveyor belts cause slippage and disintegration, particularly at the attachment points. In general, the slippage in the material structure of the belts causes this.

In addition, seat belts or safety belts are used to protect against certain risks caused by working conditions. According to the legal regulations in force, employers must use personal protection equipment such as seat belts or tying ropes in order to ensure the safety of employees who have to work at a certain height.

Seat belts are produced in many different types according to the characteristics of the work. Standards have been prepared for the determination of the models of seat belts, the way of production and the criteria to be followed in the tests. The seatbelts must be made of thick chrome-sole leather belts or linen and similar fabrics. According to the standards, the width of the seat belts must be at least 12 cm and the thickness should be at least 6 mm. In addition, the payload must be at least 1150 kg. The purpose of these standards is to protect the safety of the employee in the event of a fall, but not to interfere with comfortable operation.

The current legal regulations and standards published by many national and international organizations are taken into consideration in textile analysis studies. In line with the needs of enterprises, our company also performs belt tests within the framework of textile analysis.

In the meantime, our organization, in accordance with the TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Conditions for the Competence of Experiment and Calibration Laboratories standard, UAF From the Accreditation Agency has been accredited and serves within this framework.
